Around the RangeThis
year has not only seen a growth in membership, but many wonderful
additions to the range. The cowboys got some new steel targets,
including some shotgun targets that when hit, pops up a clay bird as a
secondary target. With much help from our few volunteers, the pistol
steel bays have really improved too! Bays 1 & 2 are set up in a
"Steel Challenge" configuration and Reed Porter runs a fun shoot on the
second Saturday of each month. Bay #3 we have added even more falling
plates and spinning targets for your shooting enjoyment. These three
bays can be used during regular range hours, for an additional fee and
strict steel bay rules. information available in the Range Office. The
Clay target center has a new second skeet field, and now offers 5-stand
and sporting clays on some saturdays, they have made improvemnts to their clubhouse as well, stop in and check it out! almost all the improvements have been a result of grants and volunteer labor, Please remember that this is a volunteer club and that each of you can help in some way! we can always use volunteers, you don't need to schedule time, just show up and ask to help, we almost always have a project going on! |
